Located in Northeast Denver in the historic Five Points neighborhood, Brother Jeff's Cultural Center and Café is dedicated to providing human services utilizing art, culture and film to cultivate literacy, leadership, community involvement, growth and development, and personal responsibilty, particularly amoung African-Americans. Over the years we have successfully brought people together from a variety of backgrounds to our venue to participate in community-building events such as our Annual Kwanzaa Celebration, The East Denver Achievement Awards, various workshops and panel discussions, and of course, our nationally known and award-winning Open-Mic Poetry Set. The Cultural Center and Café serves as space where ideas, emotions, and positive action can come to fruition. We also have an open door policy and provide numerous organizations and groups from outside the community with the use of our meeting space and contacts. We serve as an individual and institutional advocate and champion human development in a variety of arenas.
